Photos: Opening ceremony

The first photos from the IEM5 European Championship Finals in Kiev have been uploaded, starting off with a series of photos from the opening ceremony and more.

While games are paused due to some network difficulties, you could use the time wisely and view the first series of photos from the event.

The event was kicked off with speeches on the main-stage; one of them was from the product manager of the IEM, Michal "Carmac" Blicharz, who welcomed everyone (in Russian). The Belarusian Quake Live star Alexy "Cypher" Yanusheysky, had the honors of opening the event, cutting an Ethernet-cable in two with a scissor.
